(Unpopular opinion) Otayuri doesn't have big chances of becoming cannon because I feel like Kubo was trying to develop the friendship between the two more than actually ending it with a relationship. Victuuri was planned to become cannon to show the beauty of true love regardless of nationality and gender. Now she might be trying to develop the beauty of a great friendship no matter of the age gap, distance etc.
I don’t have the agree/disagree thing on me rn but whatever I completely agree. It’s super unlikely that they’ll have anything beyond MAYBE a one sided crush for a hot second, as we all get for our first best friend. I know a bunch of people will probably be upset over it if it turns out that way, but it’ll be for the best, and hell, that’s what fanfiction’s for. (let’s not become the voltron fandom, plz haha)
