“Looks aren’t everything. Believe me, I’m a model.”
Cameron Russell does a TED Talk regarding the superficiality of the model/beauty industry in a world that overly values such superficiality.
Don’t allow a false image to potentially control your perception of true beauty. There are more important elements to life (in my humble opinion) than illusory imagery created by photographers & corporate interests.
If the world had always gone by a “beauty standard” created by such an industry - Jesus Christ himself would have been judged (as average folks of today typically are judged) by the superficial, hollow, and meaninglessness of those of whom may worship such an industry (or empty images).
There is nothing wrong with beauty - perhaps there is an area of opportunity for the “beauty” industry to actually show true beauty (again, just my own opinion, take it or leave it).
