Thinking about SuperGrace rn in the context of Rocky meeting Superman because I know he’d get told by Grace about Clark but to actually see him and just see how similar he is in looks to Grace throws him for a loop for a minute. Clark who can pickup Rocky like he weighs nothing and how Clark has sharp hearing like a Eridian— can actually see through objects!!

He starts bombarding Grace about it but ‘I told you he can do amazing feats!’

Adrian is just VYING to study Clark whenever he visits Grace (as well as study to foods he brings along as well!) Trying to synthesize the taste of apples and peaches from the Kent farm. And learn human courting customs secretly whenever Grace and the ‘Superman’ are alone together.

Thinking about how Grace reacts to Rocky at first in context of ‘Superman being a thing’ in this au bc Rocky would find out about Superman and be, offended? In a way??

“WHY WERE YOU SCARED OF ROCKY BUT NOT SUPERMAN QUESTION?!”

“IVE KNOWN ABOUT HIM FOR YEARS AND HE LOOKS LIKE A HUMAN??”

Rocky stews about that for a bit but understands where Grace is coming from. He was scared of Grace too when they first met lol

More Supergrace bc Grace, as a human and a pack animal, needs to have physical contact. So whenever Clark comes back to Erid with food and such for Grace there needs to be a hug that Grace gets.

It’s like his own happy drug bc yes, he can get a hug from Rocky and it helps but a human (kryptonian) hug helps wonders. The softness of muscle and gentle heat from a body helps relief unknown stresses and Grace can’t help but feel slightly embarrassed about the whole thing.

Clark is fine with it. The hugs slowly turn into something he looks forward to and he knows the science behind the need for it in Grace’s end— Trying to avoid failure to thrive and such. But the two can’t help but to hold onto each other longer as the visits continue.

Rocky learns over the course of this that ‘human’ hearts can synchronize and it happens often when Clark and Grace are close to each other/hugging

Back on my Supergrace bs where Clark brings food back to Grace on Erid and while doing so asks his Ma for some home style foods and she teases him about it. ‘The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’ and all that but honestly it’s true!

All I’m saying also is that Grace bursts into tear once he gets a bite of fresh pie (be it apple or chicken pot) and has to reassure Clark (and Rocky or Adrian who are there for food samples) that he’s ok, honest! Don’t freak out on my account.

Even though they can all hear the creaking of Grace’s bones caused by Erid’s gravity but that’s neither here nor there smh

Grace moved to tears when Clark brings him actual steak on his visits back to Erid. He doesn’t care HOW Clark prepares it, just that it’s made so he can eat it without getting salmonella
