This is Nash from San Clemente. We like how he gnashes his teeth and bears his claws with style in this frontside gaffleroo. Nash is 11, 4’8”, 78lbs. His poppa Jay was one of the first rippers to get boards from me way back when I lived in San Clemente and handshaped every board from a raw blank. The days when it felt kinda almost like running a black market surfboard cartel where I’d meet people in all sorts of out of the way spots like the back of gas stations early in the morning, or in back alley’s behind clubs late at night, at taco shops for breakfast, at crash houses where like 10 surfers would be living in a space meant for maybe four, in parking lots and dirt roads wherever the waves were going, at the end of jetty rocks, or on piers at dawn...crumpled wadded cash for a blade that kept the dream alive. Memories that I count a privilege because to me these are the real people that make our little subculture breathe and thrive and grow through the next generation...with the real stuff that can’t be bought or sold or marketed or stickered and contracted...because it’s the stuff that makes our souls tick with the genuine stoke that the ocean offers us freely every day. So take a break from your labors, take a rest from thinking too hard; and breath the free air my friends. @_nasher____ @jay7seas @_vanarchy 📷 @zixabi 4’8” x 16 1/2” x 2 1/8” 17L #supergromsurfboard #flyinlionsurfboard https://www.instagram.com/p/B14OpPGH15e/?igshid=19dnwfdxwixed
