@supermanaged sent: "Wait," Kou said, not even looking up from her clipboard as the swimmer walked by her. "Come here," She said grabbing his wrist for good measure. He could be so stubborn about these things. She rested a hand against his forehead and sighed. "I knew it," The look she gave him was more like a disappointed mother's than an underclassman referring to their elder. "Go back inside and change. Now,"
you shoot a forlorn gaze at the pool over your shoulder as you’re very rudely pulled aside. you could hardly convince someone you aren’t pouting. for once, you wish kou wasn’t as good a manager as she is. notices too much. more than your teammates, at least, because not even makoto’s said anything to you, & he walked to school with you ( that, & he has that acquired skill of just knowing things when it comes to you ; seems kou’s picking it up as well ) .
you like to consider yourself fairly logical & rational, you’re not in the habit of doing things without seriously thinking about them --- even seriously overthinking about them --- but, alas, all logic & rationale get drowned out ( no pun intended ) in regards to water. so, while, thinking about it, you do know that you are physically unwell & that swimming in that kind of condition is not only highly unproductive but also potentially dangerous if one overdoes it ... a waterlogged part of your brain simply does not care about such things & only craves the sensation of water surrounding you. there’s still a kind of logic there : you feel unwell --- water makes you feel good --- ergo, swimming will solve everything. sorry, manager.
❛ it’s not so bad that i can’t swim. it’ll ease off. ❜
