my proposal for the transatlantic mortar isn't absurd and unreasonable. the diagrams of it sinking into the centre of the earth due to its incredible mass are blatantly exaggerated. in fact, they are malicious smears on my good standing as an artillery officer! of course i accounted for the corroilois effect when submitting the designs, do you think im an idiot???

all of those are smaller than mallet's mortar baby. mallet's mortar and little david still undefeated for having 36 inch shells. what part of truly largest did you miss

one of the scenarios for a warhammer 40k game is trying to take an orbital defense cannon. the length of the guns barrel is longer than most skyscrapers, it fires shells the size of school buses with enough force and velocity to break atmosphere and penetrate ship hulls. the shockwave of the recoil is so devestating that it will shatter buildings and pulverize any unprotected people

i am aware. the planet-scale artillery is one of the funnier pieces of excess in the 40k setting since like, it doesn't really make any sense at all from a logisitical standpoint but it goes hard as hell
