I'm a bit late but I would say that Rosie is one of the handful of supermodels right now, together with Karlie. I know Rosie isn't the typical model, but she's definitely had the longevity and status to be called a supermodel in my opinion, she has earned it, basically

Forgot to talk about Natalia! I think she's right behind Karlie, even though she started working ages before KK. What happens with Karlie is that she has the same X factor as the Supers. That kind of girl isn't out there anymore so I don't think we'll get more supers anytime soon. Again, we had a great wave of very special models in the mid-00s/early 10s, I could go on forever dropping names, but over-the-top glamazons don't happen anymore.

There was a time in the mid-00s/early 10s were we got models like Magdalena, Kasia, Natasha... I'm sure you know the rest! The girls from that wave had amazing potential but some faded with time and others lack recognition but no one made it as big to be called a super. Speaking of lack of recognition, I think Mariacarla (she's not from the group of girls I'm talking about since she's been working since the early 90s) is incredibly underrated!

I think that, since Gisele, the only supermodel we've had has been Karlie Kloss and I'm happy about the other things she does but, as a fashion lover, it's a shame she doesn't work as much as she used to. We've had some great models who were close to being supers but they seem unable to keep up with it and only fade with time. For me, to be called a supermodel you must have a successful career in all aspects of modelling to back up such a term. Today, the use it's given to that word is gross.

i think the term "supermodel" lost its meaning because nowadays people use supermodels when referring to kendall or gigi. which is pretty sad because its all social media & there are plenty of other models out there that should be labeled as a supermodel
