Elijah did not enjoy protection missions. They were simple and a padawan could perform them easily. And yet here he was sent on one to some distant planet to defend a princess whose family had deep ties to the senate. It was only the chancellor that could convince the Jedi Council to take on a mission that required little more than a bodyguard.
As he stepped off his ship to head to meet the princess he was to be protecting, he wondered just what it was that had convinced the Chancellor that she was in such danger. He had encountered nothing out of the ordinary as he had approached the planet and nothing seemed excessively dangerous just yet.
Still, it had to be something. Something he would undoubtedly be informed of soon enough.
He gave a slight bow of his head as he was greeted by a man who informed him he would be taking her to the princess. His face was shadowed by the hood of his cloak as he walked, his arms crossed and hands tucked into the loose sleeves.
When he entered a large sitting room, he instantly took noticed of the young princess. He slowly lowered the hood of his cloak and bowed his head. “My lady.”
