"The Way Out is the Way" (aka the Minotaur ) was one in a series of six assemblages I created for the conceptual 2017 Myths & Legends duo exhibition (with artist friend Joshua Coffy of @giftprolific) at Secession Art & Design. This piece later was won and acquired by a collector at ArtSpan's 2018 Benefit Auction. Legend has it that the Minotaur was the offspring of a magnificent snow-white bull and that of Pasiphaë, the wife of King Minos of Crete. Being the unnatural offspring of a woman and a beast, the Minotaur grew to become brutal and ferocious. An enormous labyrinth was constructed to contain him.
