Like pieces to a puzzle, I utilized a bag of donated textile scraps, a box of deconstructed hard bound book covers and reasonably flat connective objects to create a series of new collages set with in wood stained trays. The Radius Project

My contribution to our group project focusing on Limerick City.

My peer group and I focused on the old vs the new. We walked on foot around Limerick City and took in everything around us. I was particularly interested in the old buildings, and so I put a modern spin on them by using articles from a current newspaper, the Limerick Leader and cutting shapes into my drawings to create 'a view into the future'.

I loved working with my group and was delighted to be able to explore a foreign city with such a charismatic group of people. Discussing ideas with other creatives and working together was something I hadn't experienced before and I loved that we were constantly bouncing our ideas off of one another and looking deeper than what was on the surface.

I used the video platform TikTok to create a video of the day.

When I go for walks, I often find single discarded or lost gloves. More than most clothing, a glove feels like a discarded piece of a person, an extension,l. Putting your hand in their lost glove is occupying someone else's space for a moment.
