hello and welcome to combination-classpecting! this is a blog i made to classpect the combined aspects/classes made by @superxstarzz . CANNOT EMPHASISE ENOUGH HOW MUCH YOU SHOULD GO LOOK AT THEIR COMBINED CLASSPECTS. THEY'RE AMAZING.
requests for classpecting are open!
any combination can be requested. combo class + combo aspect, vanilla class + combo aspect, combo class + vanilla aspect are all valid. just please don't request vanilla combos because there are heaps of blogs out there for just that, lmao. if there is a design for the classpect you're requesting, i'll find it and link it in my little analysis!
i'm NOT BIG ON CLASSPECTING THEORY. take everything i say here with a grain of salt - its for fun. that said, most of what i say here will be done with reference to @0pacifica's classpect essays (here on ao3) and other assorted analyses. if you want references for what sources i pulled from, cobbled together, and altered to fit my liking, hmu! dms should be open unless i fucked up horribly. most of my analyses will focus on narrative role/role within the game and teams, so if you want things like powers (skills, fraymotifs, passives, etc), lands, and such to be part of your request, let me know! i can do my very best.
mod uses they/it. you can call me whatever floats your boat i honestly don't care.
that should be it for the intro! if you have any questions ask :) i do not bite
anyways, if it isnt too much to ask, whaddya think about the chemotherapist (prince+sylph) of soul (heart+mind)?
haha thanks i'm a mind player too! maybe . ironically not so good at classpecting myself... i guide others to a treasure i cannot possess etc
Chemotherapist (Prince + Sylph)
A Chemotherapist is one who uses their Aspect, to Skaia’s benefit and their own neutrality or detriment. Sylphs use their Aspect to meddle and guide other players on paths they think are correct; Princes use their Aspect in a way that drains it from themself. Take this with Sylphs’ tendencies towards healing and Princes’ towards destruction, and we find ourselves with a combination that heals through destruction.
This works as well with the verbatim reading, with chemotherapy being the treatment of fast-growing cells in the body with chemicals that kill them off, AKA a sort of, well, healing through destruction. I would imagine this means the Chemotherapist uses their Aspect to heal issues (perceived or real) within the session. Perhaps instead of directly draining their own supply of the Aspect, like Princes do, they drain it from those around them - and eventually, if no one is around, themself.
Soul (Heart + Mind)
Soul is a Combined Aspect of a specific category I haven’t discussed yet, being Conflicted Aspects. That means it’s a combination of two Aspects that are:
(A) Combinations of opposite sides of the official Aspect zodiac wheel
(B) Combinations of the same axis within 0Pacifica’s analysis
These mean the same thing but the distinction matters To Me.
This makes it pretty tricky to pin down! Something that relates both to overarching plans, meaning as made by a group, but also to individual, localised meaning. Taking 0Pacifica’s reading (as I love to do), that would make this Aspect one that combines both contraction and expansion, both egoism and dissolution of self. I would say, then, that Soul is broadly about identity. Groups can have identities; you may identify as part of a group, say, the Homestuck fandom. How you intersect with that group, how your group identity informs your own, that's included in Soul. It would be able to push and pull at not just how you identify with yourself but how you identify with those around you.
A more verbatim reading of Soul might mean an inclusion of both logical rationale and emotional impulse in a whole that makes up one person. Mind tends to come with connotations of grand plans, control over memory, thoughts, and the very literal mind itself, while Heart tends to focus more on subjective emotional perception of the self and those around you. Being able to warp both “emotional” and “rational” sides of a being can be immensely powerful, and that would tend to be how I read Soul - a combination of all the parts, Mind and Heart, that make you “you”. Your essence, distilled from memories and perceptions.
In short: if Mind controls logical thought, and Heart controls subjective self, then Soul controls every part of your inner self. How you view other people, how your logic works, the way every part of your mind ticks is at their whims.
Now, let's put them together to make...
Chemotherapist of Soul
(the link in that header takes you to the official godtier outfit done by superxstarzz themself!)
The Chemotherapist of Soul describes someone who uses their entire self to heal through destruction, draining selfhood from those around them. Pretty straightforward, probably! Maybe. Surely.
Let's look at what that might be in a practical, session-focused sense. Say you have a Chemotherapist of Soul, and two people with conflicting worldviews - but oh, these players are the Space player and Knight player! Key players for the growth of the genesis frog. Obviously, for the sake of the narrative and Skaia, this needs to be fixed, healed. Our Chemotherapist of Soul might choose to solve this issue by destroying the parts of the two players' personalities that clash, by encouraging them to change their ways or by forcefully destroying parts of their Soul, the specifics are up to the player. A Chemotherapist is in charge of making sure all personalities, worldviews, thought patterns, and so on are what they need to be for Skaia. The destruction necessary for their healing may be done violently, or through a more gentle method, almost like pruning away those thought paths and allowing new ones to grow in its place. It's a careful balance of destruction and healing, logic and emotion. Definitely an interesting classpect.
hello! Could You please analyse a combination of a bard of heart and a page of time? of course if You want to. and if You'd do that, could You give an idea of how that combined classpects land would look like? thanks! and peace
i can absolutely give it my best shot! as the first ask i'm answering, you'll be a bit of a guinea pig for formatting, lol. would love feedback on how this layout works or doesnt work, and thoughts on my analysis! will put it under a cut to prevent clogging.
Keeper (Bard + Page)
A Keeper is changed by their Aspect into a tool for it. Their narrative role is to drive forward the goals of their Aspect, by any means necessary. The passive destruction of a Bard combines with the immense potential of a Page to create someone who has immense positive potential that always comes with a downside. Keepers may be seen as cursed, perhaps, in that any good they do will always serve their Aspect, and be accompanied by an excess or destruction of said Aspect outside themselves.
A more verbatim reading of the Keeper may combine with the above narrative-focused reading to create someone who protects and Keeps their Aspect at any cost. They may nurture it, keep it hidden away, weaken it over time, all for a variety of reasons (after all, how far is "Keeper" from a "jailor"?).
As an example, take Jade, and replace “Witch of Space” with “Keeper of Space”. Perhaps here she would keep Bec locked away, as he represents Space in some ways, until inevitably being forced to fuse with him in godtiering - for better or worse. Perhaps she would nurture him and ignore any harm he causes others. Whatever the case, a Keeper will serve their Aspect and be changed by it in the end, no matter how hard they struggle against this role or lean into it.
Sentience (Time + Heart)
Sentience describes an organised path to the personal answer to the question of narrative meaning. It is awareness of one’s place in a continued narrative and/or timeline (they're a little interchangeable, within Sentience - personal narratives follow a timeline). The main difference between this and Neurons (Time + Mind) is that Sentience sees themself as important within this universal plan. They see themself as a vital driving force of the narrative, and believe that their own answers to questions of the timeline and importance are the most crucial ones. Time marches on towards death, and Heart seizes the purpose and meaning of Life up until that death (carpe diem, and all).
A more verbatim reading might see Sentience as describing an awareness of the self and soul. Sentience is eyes that open to the plan of the timeline, and a stubborn insistence that they still matter in the grand scheme of this plan. Sentience can be likened, in some ways, to Hope, or Light. It’s knowledge of the self and the timeline, and the resilience to continue on being true to the self - serving the needs of Skaia and the winstate in their own personal way.
Combining these...
Keeper of Sentience
A Keeper of Sentience may guard, nurture, or weaken their own meaning within life, and those of others, at the cost of passive destruction around them. This is a rough one to think about in a practical sense, and frankly is making my head hurt a little. (I'm not the smartest guy in town) So let's break it down with a more verbatim reading.
Keepers of Sentience may have the ability to... Keep Sentience from others. (That sounded way cooler in my head.) They can choose to stoke personal narrative meaning within others, allowing them to reach a certain 'enlightenment' or conclusion on their place within the narrative, or they can hinder it and take it away, leaving them to be a hopeless slave to the whims of the timeline and narrative. A fully realised Keeper of Sentience may become one with Sentience in a way that completely serves its whims. They can advance the personal journey of others to great passive detriment (think along the lines of hastening someone's realisation that they're transgender, perhaps, but this would also speed up the progression and intensity of dysphoria, and create other complex feelings related to the unnatural speed of this revelation).
Land ideas
Lands are something I tend to find tricky, but for you, I will do my best.
Lands should serve to challenge the player's initial self, advancing them to their fully realised classpect. I tend to do this by incorporating one word related to their Aspect, and one word personal to the specific player. I'm going to format these Lands as "Land of [Aspect keyword] and [Personal keyword]", for ease of distinguishing between Aspect words and words you may want to switch out and personalise to your character's journey.
Land of Continuity and Lanterns
A dark Land where the only method of travel is through shadow lanterns that light paths over the moor, turning them corporeal. These lanterns are created by the consorts of the Land, and each one casts shadows that describe and foresee one's journey through life - but this craft is dying, and the consorts are lost, directionless, unsure of what comes next and what their place in it will be. The Hero needs to help craft enough of these lanterns to light each consort's personal path into the future. Dungeons scattered across the land may contain puzzles where shadow lanterns must be lined up in the correct order to portray a journey.

Land of Realisation and Illness
A Land plagued by a Malady. This curse creates sudden hyper-awareness of one's place in a wider "narrative" that seems to break the mind of the poor consort afflicted. The Hero must find a way to suppress the overabundance of Sentience within these consorts, while minimising and controlling the negative effects created - perhaps by transferring them onto themself. Dungeons may include puzzles that speed up time or create auras of suffocating worrying about oneself that must be cleared away.
