Supplementary Log 1

My logging system encountered an error and I was unable to retrieve the data from the past several system scans and jumps. The data is there, I just cannot access it. So unfortunately I will have to wait until I make port to get the data. I cannot risk shutting down any of my system in an attempt to get the data. Whatever the error was, it seems to have resolved itself. 

I have made it the Perseus Arm. As intended, I will be making my way to the Heart and Soul Neublae. They are approximately 60 jumps and 3,282 light years away. It will be a long journey, but if the previous jumps are any indication, I will be heading into undiscovered territory. The past several jumps have been in systems in which no other navigator has registered with Universal Cartographics. This means from here on out, I will advancing humanity’s knowledge of the cosmos and what lies beyond. This is what I live for. This is my calling.

Okay so today my task was flashcards.

I did do some flashcards, but I have like 80 left.

However I switched to writing essay plans and it's actually gone well. And I think it's helping. Plus it's giving me confidence that I can write something coherent now.

I'm also identifying the key areas I'm lacking in atm.

When I go home I think I'll continue flashcards and exam plans for the topics I'm more confident in, then maybe in subsequent days I can focus on the stuff I'm weaker in and also expand my essay plans as a form of revision.

Hey...

How y'all doing?

So um...

I procrastinated bigly and have only covered one lecture so far... With only one lecture covered so far...

Yeah I'm so screwed.

I'm gonna have to work in the afternoon and evening because I HAVE to get the content finished today okay? It's the final push and I just want it DONE.

Then starting tomorrow I can go hard on flashcards and mind maps and practice essays etc.

I'm scared low-key.

I have finished all 6 lectures!!! Yippee. This is a very conceptual module so there's so many words but they're easier to understand and memorise. The only thing that's hard is examples.

I still need to do my flashcards, which is pretty devastating but inevitable. Sigh. I'm leaving the library soon so I'll be doing those at home mostly but maybe I'll get some done here?

Anyway it's still a success in my eyes so yay.

I've covered 3 lectures already so I'm making good progress. Though I'm now hitting the point of boredom and frustration as usual. Maybe it's the caffeine wearing off idk.

Anyway I will attempt to push through it and finish the next 3 lectures.

And today I am COMMITTED to doing flashcards at home.

It's 14.15 and I'm done with all of this module's lectures!!! Which means I only have one module left, with 12 lectures. Oh and also like 4 other lectures from a previous module which I skipped because they suck... Sigh.

Still a win though. I have about an hour left in the library and I'm so tired. I should move on to the new flashcards but I so don't wanna. Ugh.

Fine. I'll try. But I probably won't be able to do them all so I'll still need to do some at home.

It's 10.50 so I've had about an hour and a bit

I've covered two lectures so I'm making great time! I only have 3 left until I finish this module. I am going to switch to flashcard review for a bit before going back to new content. I actually have more flashcards to review from yesterday than I thought, but it's okay because I know I can do those quickly. Then I will get back to the lectures and try to get them done asap before going back to new flashcards.

Who knows, I might even have time for other stuff today? Unlikely but you never know.

Did half of the due flashcards from yesterday, so I have to still do the rest and about 50 new ones, though I might do a bit less since the content is dense.

I also have to cover 3 more lectures... Sigh.

I don't know why I just can't seem to focus right now. I really don't wanna be here. Like I'd much rather study at home. I still have an hour left at the library so I'm switching back to new content revision for some variety.

Then I'll go home and hopefully finish the rest of what I wanted to do.

Note for the future: maybe I need to do shorter blocks and interleave different tasks to avoid getting overwhelmed and bored.
