strike.
seriously, come at me. i support the idea that there shouldn't be any more budget cuts, blah blah blah...
but by "shutting down" campus. i honestly don't think there is a reason to do so. if you want to really make a statement, why doesn't everybody just all NOT enroll for next quarter. the regents won't get your money. what more can they do if they don't get the funding to operate? here you are, spending an entire day of unproductive attention seeking, the school has your money that you're complaining you want back.
another day, another set of millions taken and the UC Regents are rich again while the cut the budget further. by not having all the facilities running on one day, you're actually saving the school money putting more dollars for them to pocket.
the strike has caused a significant hassle on everybody. its not right to make everything a hassle to those who are in support but don't want to condone to the activities.
its basically as if getting too butt hurt over something that can be dealt with in a better manner or more productive way.
good job america.
seriously, this strike.
