Some people think the supports only role is to buy wards. It is NOT the supports only role. It's EVERYBODY'S role to buy wards.
Here's why:
1) In top lane and tired of getting ganked by the enemy jungler every five minutes? -Support can't make it up there every three minutes to ward YOUR lane. -Buy five wards and they'll last you a good 9-10 minutes and it's worth it while you farm! -Knowing where the enemy jungler is coming from let's you know when to run away and to where!
2) In mid lane and tired of getting ganked by the enemy jungler/other lanes? - Buy four wards and they'll last you a good six minutes! That equals six minutes of knowing when you're about to get ganked and when to run away! And where to run away to! - It's YOUR responsibility to cover for YOUR lane! -Support can't afford to buy 15 wards at a time to ward the other two lanes and the enemy's jungle!!
3) Jungling and tired of the enemy jungler taking all of your buffs/farm? - Buy five wards and ward as you go! - Know a buff is about to respawn? Ward it so the enemy jungler/mid laner doesn't steal it! - Counter jungling? Ward THEIR buffs so you know when they're going to come back, so you/your team mates can gank and kill them!
4) Bot lane tired of getting ganked by the enemy jungler/their mid laner? - Ward the tribush closest to your turret, so if the enemy jungler is counter jungling, you'll see them coming from behind and if they're going to dive you! - Ward the river! You'll know ahead of time when the enemy jungler/mid laner is on their way to gank you so you can run away or push back! - Ward THEIR tribush closest to their turret so you'll know when they're going to dive you under THEIR turret so you can back away!!
Don't be angry if you're getting ganked a lot, it just means you're doing well and are a threat to the enemy team!!!!!!
5) Supports role is to: - Ward whenever and wherever possible if the other lanes forgot to buy wards! - Buy items with auras so you can help protect your team mate even better! - Protect your ADC during the laning phase so they can get kills! - Protect EVERYBODY as much as possible in team fights. ADC isn't your only priority! - Be as aggressive as possible so the enemy ADC can't farm as well as YOUR ADC. - Be aggressive as possible to make it easier for your ADC to get kills!!
If everybody buys wards, here's what'll happen: - You'll know where the enemy jungler is! - You won't get ganked and die every five minutes! - You'll know when enemy jungler is counter jungling! - You can protect your partners in crime better and warn them when a gank is about to happen! - You'll know when and where EVERYBODY is coming from or where they went so you can warn your team mates when an enemy left their lane. - Your experience will overall be better and more fun, and you'll be more likely to win!
