Had one not been enough?
Corrin stares, slack-jawed, at the figure of Takumi. She would be more compelled to question it had she not just met another ghost, but that such a phenomenon could happen twice...
Tears well in her eyes, apologies heavy on her tongue. There are hundreds of them -- both that she has said before and that she had never gotten a chance to -- but Takumi had refused to hear her before for far lesser reason than he had to do so now.
But whether or not he chose to forgive her did not matter. She can't just say nothing.
"Takumi," her voice is so quick to betray her sorrow, wavering despite her best efforts to prevent it from doing so. "It's... I..."
Dragon swallows, shaking her head once. "It's good to see you again."
( the "alive" goes unsaid )
Death had a peculiar way of wiping slates clean.
Hearing her voice, Takumi quickly turns to look at her, to confirm it is actually her that the voice belongs to before he stands stock-still as he sees the sorrowful expression she wears. He wanted to feel bitter, to feel that same sense of betrayal he felt as he laid in that canyon. Alas, he had heard the full story during his solitary years of travel throughout Hoshido and Nohr, tales of her strategic planning and the peaceful future she'd help bring about after defeating Garon, tales of how she helped his sisters live during the war so that they could rule Hoshido into an era of peace.
"Kamui..." There is a bell tone of sadness that rings in his voice as he speaks her Hoshidan name. As much as he wants to call her the names he used after the beginning of the war, he knows there's no use in the bitterness. He smiles softly, though it doesn't reach his saddened eyes. "I know I said it back then, but thank you for what you did, putting me to rest." He bowed deeply at the hip, torso practically parallel to the ground. "You helped save my sisters. I cannot thank you enough for that." He rose and stepped forward, closer to her but still with polite distance. "It's good to see you too, is what I suppose I mean as well."
