This is the “EMERIE” - Sculpture Tomato Pin Cushion Chair by Filipino Visual Artist @johnpaulduray 🪑🍅📍 JP has participated in different exhibitions in Manila and international exhibits as well such as Hong Kong and in SCOPE Miami Beach, USA where he launched this famous chair 3 years ago. JP has done series of paintings, sculptures and installation art. Besides being my good friend, I am a huge fan of his works. I started collecting his artworks 2 years ago and I am always ecstatic with them all. I purchased this chair in 2019. Customized for me, I requested for the colored pins to represent the 8 colors of the LGBT Rainbow Flag. It was supposed to be delivered (came from Cebu) to me by 1st quarter of 2020 but due to all the quarantine and lockdown implications I only received it a few days ago. It arrived in Manila on my birthday (September 17) and was delivered to Me the next day. It arrived as a giant wooden crate and I had to ask help from the Maintenance team in our condo to help me open the crate. The long wait was all worth it! I am so happy with this chair! I placed it right in front of my bed. I just love staring at it! Haha! Thank you so much, Jayps!! Cheers to your craft and talent and to my next purchase!
