I'm really passionate about the Civil Rights Movement and I just asked my mom if I could go to Ferguson, even though I knew the answer was most likely going to be no anyways. I could tell she really thought about it, but there is no way that we could realistically make it work. She suggested that I try to hold some kind of awareness on my own.

I know that a lot of young people like me are angry with the system, and sitting and complaining about it isn't going to help. At first, it seemed like the only way for me to get involved was to physically go to Ferguson. But then I realized, stories like Mike Brown's happen everywhere, everyday. I hope that those of you who know HOW IMMORAL INSTITUTIONALIZED RACISM IS will join me to support those who are nonviolently protesting in Ferguson, and to support the equal treatment of all human beings. 

I'm beginning a movement called #SupportFerguson. There will be a walk happening the weekend of September 6th/7th on Castro Street in Downtown Mountain View. IT WILL BE A NONVIOLENT EVENT. THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO DO SOMETHING. THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Please check out the group I made on Facebook called #SupportFerguson. Please join and please share!
