You know what? Let’s say for argument’s sake that Jon doesn’t care about Sansa, that he doesn’t think of her at all. Let’s asume that the moment they meet again they will look at each other with indifference and Jonsa is a crack ship at best.

“Winterfell belongs to my sister Sansa” is still the best line about her than anyone else has said in the series so far. Everyone wants Sansa’s claim, everyone wants to use her, they call her stupid, they think she is too southern because she doesn’t have her wolf, she is a Lannister, she betrayed Ned, she will never go home.

Here’s Jon Snow, upholding the undeniable fact that she is Ned Stark’s daughter, that she is as Northern as any of her siblings, that she has the right and the ability to rule the North, no matter who her husband is because she was a hostage and was forced into that marriage.

Even if Jonsa doesn’t happen Jon has already made his choice for Sansa as he made his choice for Arya. He loves all the Starks, and he will stand for Sansa’s rights even at a great cost to himself. And that is canon, and will forever be, no matter how many haters Sansa has, this cannot be erased.

Yes, couldn't agree more. "Winterfell belongs to my sister Sansa" is really iconic. And add to that that Jon never had an unfriendly thought about Sansa (and don't @ me about that 'half-brother' line)

But you know, even if they just fight alongside each other and are indifferent, Jonsa would still not be a crackship. Crackships are ships that do not interact in canon and have no idea that the other person even exists. Sansa/Hizdahr would be a crackship.

They use that word for us to imply that it's crack to ship them and I simply refuse to go along with that. Even if Jonsa never becomes canon it has the hell of a potential.

As for Jon, I think that some parts of the fandom (*cough*) have takes on Jon that simply cannot be verified in the books. 🤷‍♀️

Sorry anon, Sansa is a heavy hitter, icon and heroine.

There is a reason GRRM expanded her role in the series to be a main character and there is a reason why he has written other heavy hitters Cersei, Olenna, Littlefinger, Tyrion to all see her as a possible pawn or threat in future.

And as someone who thought Jon and Dany were destined for each other initially (she is now one of my least favs), there is way more compelling nuanced evidence for Jon and Sansa, I doubt GRRM will go for the obvious of Jon and Dany for the endgame.

The show as much as we dislike it has given us the beats of the ending, sorry, Sansa is going to be Queen (Elizabeth I anyone?).

Nonny is triggered that camera Sansa ended as QitN while heavy hitter Daenerys commited the worst massacre ever and got knifed while Arya left Westeros and became Sailor Moon. What the wanted for the heavy hitter was what camera Sansa got.

That anon was obviously unhinged and way too emotionally invested, but I do wonder if it might be a good idea for us to stop tagging as*iaf or a s*ong of ice and fire, because our posts will show up in that tag even if we tag them as #anti. I'm not saying doing it for their sake, I'm saying maybe do it for yours LOL. If that really is where they're finding your meta, then not using that tag anymore would probably cut down significantly on the amount of yelling randos you get in your inbox.

I don't think so. I tag ASOIAF very rarely. I'm also busy in other fandoms and it has been a little while since I wrote what you could call a meta.

They hate read Jonsa and Sansa blogs and there is little we can do about that since this is a public space. I don't feel responsible for them being unhinged or for them being unable to simple blacklist.

They obviously are on a crusade to prove that Jonsas and Sansa fans are bullies by... bullying us.

The thing that really bugs me the most about the Sansa "bullying" trope is the subtext those who keep presenting it are pushing. Basically they denying that Sansa's has any growth from her pre-pubescent personality. She is frozen in time as an eleven year old. Her relationships with Jon Snow and Arya are forever tainted by an exaggerated, and (in the case of the alleged bullying) false stereotype. It's just baseless hatred for a well rounded character.

Well, the thing is that they might even be right if ASOIAF was your generic black and white fantasy novel. You have characters who don't develop at all in so many novels.

I think they don't really understand GRRM's writing style. He always has development of his characters, even minor characters, like let's say Olyvar Frey or Thoros of Myr. So even if Sansa was only a minor character she would get a development.

They are mistaken about Sansa's role in the tale and about GRRM's main writing purposes.

They can persist in that all they want. I just wish they wouldn't do that in my inbox.

We don't want Jon to mess Sansa's hair and call her little sister. We don't want him to gift her a sword. We want him gifting her a rose, watch her as she sings and call her "my love".

And I also want them when they are older to have passionate sex and be so loud that all Winterfell know what they do in their bedchamber.
