i really like that in route zero the two people takumi trusts the most (eito and nozomi) are the two biggest liars in the room at any given time. two sides of the same coin. complete and deluded denial of any good or kindness humanity could ever do, vs blind and also deluded obedience to a cause for humanity that is utterly and completely cruel. the guy who wields a scythe vs the girl who heals with bullets. the self-serving and the self-sacrificing. they both dream of a history long past that was never meant for them. they both spent their childhoods sailing listlessly around hospitals. they both love the sky.
