The early days -- the Surf Knights (later the Dream Machine).
The Dream Machine (name changed from the Surf Knights when they signed with Decca) of Houston getting off the tour bus in ‘66, opening for Paul Revere and the Raiders.
Scott Thompson, lead guitar for Big Sweet (here with a ‘59 Gibson Les Paul at Love Street Light Circus). They recorded the last album International Artists (the Elevators label) did before they went defunct. It has been missing ever since. Yep, gone, lost forever(?). I got the photo from Tommy George, who’s still quite bitter over the loss of this album. Tom started with the Surf Knights, who were a hit in Houston in their own right, and when they signed with Decca, they were made to undergo a name change to the Dream Machine. Underneath Scott’s photo is a photo of the Surf Knights.
