So I've been considering my options regarding top surgery and was just wondering if anyone had any information on or had any experience of gender clinics abroad? I know surgery abroad can be cheaper so that is appealing but obviously I also would need to find somewhere that is safe and will provide good care.

You wouldn’t need to attend a gender clinic abroad - you would just need to contact the office of the surgeon you’re interested in, who would be able to give you details of what they need in order to accept a referral (e.g. whether you need support from one or two doctors).

There  are lots of surgeons outside of the UK, and I’m sure if anyone sees this has any recommendations then they’ll share them, but in the meantime I would suggest looking online for surgeons. Transbucket is a good central repository, but if you search “top surgeons [country]” there will be plenty of other resources, too.

Is there any way a doctor in the UK can refer me for private top surgery with Dr Garramone in the US

Yes, this should be quite straightforward. You’d have to check with Dr Garramone what documents he requires to accept a referral - often an opinion from a gender specialist is needed, but in some cases overseas surgeons have been known to accept patients who have medical clearance from their GPs.
