The Surpass Yourself Crawl
By: Dradra
Hi everyone !
This is my first crawl so if you have any ideas on how to make it better or if you spotted a mistake, let me know.
Have fun and enjoy. Let me know how far you went and how many words you wrote.
I created The Surpass Yourself Crawl worksheet 245, if you want to try it, let me know how it goes.
First step (reach for 1 667 words)
Alright, we’ll start with a quick sprint to 100 words. Easy enough, we just need to warm up a little bit.
Roll a die multiply that number by 50 and sprint to that many words. ( 1:50 words, 2:100 words, 3:150 words, 4:200 words, 5:250 words, 6:300 words)
Now, what about a 3-digit challenge, of your own word count, I’ll go easy on you if you have more than 400 words to write, go for 400 words.
Good job, drink some water, stretch a little bit then we are back for more. Write for 5 minutes.
This is going great, sprint to 300 words.
Everyone is doing great ? Don’t forget to stretch once in a while, move around the house, then we are back for some more. Write for 10 minutes.
Time to let fate decided on our next step. Roll a die, if it’s an even number multiply that number by 50 and wite that amount (2:100 words, 4:200 words, 6:300 words). If it’s odd, multiply by 75 and write that many words (1:75 words, 3:225 words, 5:375 words).
Are you getting closer to your daily objective ? I hope so. What about you try to write 300 words in 15 minutes. If you fail, write the amount missing to reach 300 words.
How many words have you so far ? Is it less than 1 300 words ? If so, write until you reached it, you shouldn’t be far, you can do it. Then, take a 5 minutes break. You are over 1 300 words. Take a five minutes break. Drink water, walk around the house, then we are back at it.
We are almost at the end, this will be the last sprint, you can do it, I believe in you. Are you ready to sprint to the number of words you need to reach 1 667 words. If you already have 1 667 words or more, congratulation you just finished the first step.
Drink water, stretch and we are off to the second step.
Second step (can we go up to 3 000 words)
Next step, congratulation, you already have the recommended amount for today, what about doubling it up. If you are up to the challenge sprint to 200 words.
Roll a die multiply that number by 75 and sprint to that many words. ( 1:75 words, 2:150 words, 3:225 words, 4:300 words, 5:375 words, 6:450 words)
Now, what about a 3-digit challenge, of your own word count, I’ll go easy on you if you have more than 500 words to write, go for 500 words. It’s only the second step after all.
Good job, drink some water, stretch a little bit then we are back for more. Word war for 5 minutes. If you lose, write an additional 100 words.
This is going great, sprint to 400 words.
