In my country we say “salir de Guatemala y meterse en Guatepeor” which is untranslateable. It is a play of words for with the name of the country Guate-mala (mala means “bad”) and Guate-peor (peor means “worse”). Guatepeor doesn’t actually exist but it is Guate"worse" than Guate"mala".
