just because you love somebody doesn't mean that you have to give up what you want so they can get what they want, the idea is compromise not sacrifice you should not have to give up your ambitions or aspirations just so the other person can get theirs

One of my favorite memories was me putting on a gargantuan ton of gold/green/blue glitter, putting my hair into space buns, and my friends considering me as a magical essence. I literally felt the black girl magic that night.

I didn’t fully acknowledge it until today, but I call myself ugly a lot. Like if there’s a cute guy or whatever the situation I say “I’m okay with being ugly” and it’s stuck in my mind so that I’m more comfortable with talking to people/guys and don’t gauge to much of a love interest or feel too many nerves about speaking.
