Hi! I'm really thankful for what you do for this fandom, especially in confusing times like these. I was wondering what the story behind leaving Archie in Canada is, and why Meghan left before sitting down with the RF? I feel like H&M made this decision together, so she should be a part of the discussion as well. Thoughts? Maybe they should've approached this like the Swedes did. Could've avoided a shit tonne of criticism and drama.
Hi, love, this is really sweet! I’m so glad you feel comfortable chatting and reading what I have to say, I really appreciate it! Thanks for the love!
So it was never confirmed that Meghan was to attend the “Sandringham Summit.” Seeing as Philip, Camilla, and Kate were also absent, I imagine this was left for the blood royals (aka those with real decision-making capabilities) to duke it out. Personally, I think the lot of them should have been involved, but it’s not necessarily a reflection on H/M that Meghan wasn’t present.
As for why they left Archie in Canada... I have no clue. Maybe not to expose an infant to jet lag for what was ultimately going to be a short trip. Maybe they weren’t planning on leaving to begin with and they already had plans in place... I don’t know. Meghan was only in the UK for a handful of days so I don’t know what their plan was tbh.
They could have approached this differently in a million ways and they all would have been better than the way they did approach it. I think applying the Swedes’ rules to the BRF would have been a good place to start. I wish we’d still see H/M working for the firm the way we still see Carl Philip and Sofia, for example, but I guess that’s not how it works. Either way, a well-thought-out plan before going public would have definitely avoided a shit ton of drama, you’re absolutely right.
