Hi! I know you've talked about Tokyo Godfathers before as a great Christmas movie but I was wondering - how does it do on the transphobia front? I know there's some miss-gendering and the like but I haven't seen it and I don't want to trigger anybody in my friend group.
There is some misgendering (though apparently the subtitles actually make this issue a lot worse than the Japanese actually is? Or so I’ve been told. I don’t speak Japanese) That said, I really like Hana as a character and think she’s really cool. If one of your friends is really sensitive to misgendering in narratives, it’s worth a warning ahead of time though.
