Izzy knew that along with Sutton came the little Eliza, who was spunky as Hell and cracked Izzy up. And these days, they saw a lot of each other. With Sutton at home, Iz tried to schedule lunches and sometimes dinner (if she could pry her away from her husband) to hang out. Izzy understood that their life paths had changed their dynamic but she was determined to make it work. Plus, Eliza always kept things interesting and reminded her to be thankful for the birth control she had in place to prevent her from having a similar experience. Not that Sutton wasn’t happy— by God, she was happy as Hell to have a family, it just wasn’t for Izzy right now.
She sat a bit early for their lunch date, having already gotten herself seated at a table with an empty chair and high prepared for the mother to be. Izzy fiddled on her phone, sending a quick Instagram to her account that she took before entering the restaurant, sure to share with her followers her most recent selfie. After that, she started a text message to Jeremiah but never finished it, deleting it as she saw Sutton approaching. “Thought Eliza might’ve crashed the car or something,” she smiled, before turning her attention to the Sutton’s mini. “Hola, pequeño, tia missed you,” she smiled. “You get all that shit you wanted to get done done?”
