Enjoy this train ride from Nagano Station to Suzaka Station via the Nagano-Dentetsu Line or the Nagano Electric Railway. I was going to Obuse for my "Katsushika Hokusai pilgrimage," which I will be making a video soon. In the first five minutes and a half of this video, the train is underground. As the train approaches Hongō, the train will be aboveground. You will constantly see the train driver point at stuff. This is called shisa kanko or pointing and calling, a practice that makes people working in train stations and airlines focus more on the task at hand. You will also notice that the driver will go outside the train and bring a paper basket. That is when we were in train stations were there are no railway employees to collect the passengers' train tickets. He does that himself. And oh, you can also spot me in this video! Just look closely on the reflections!
