In the next century, our grandchildren, and certainly their children, will view the deserted remains of shopping malls with dismay. How could our ancestors have spent so much time in these ugly places without a thought for what would remain for future generations? The temples of the false god of abstract wealth will be abandoned as chemically and spiritually toxic, and only feeble grasses will reclaim the vest parking lots.
