Varsity - Seneca Valley vs Cannon Mac - 11-19-16

Varsity improved to 7-0 this past weekend with an 8-4 win over rival Cannon Mac. Penalties took their toll on both squads but the SV power-play was able to capitalize on 3 of their 6 opportunities. Kyle Shank led off the scoring with a sweet pass from teammate Chris Cracraft. Shank would net two more in the contest to complete the hatrick. Additional goals by Matt Henderson (2), Shane Moniot (2) and Tyler Dancisin. Helpers provided by Cracraft (2), Dancisin and Moniot. Next up for the Raiders is turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, etc. We should all be thankful for friends, family and the ability to play this great game that we all love. Happy Thanksgiving!

HS2 - In Action, November 6, 2016

HS3 beas undefeated West Allegheny 4-3

The HS3 SV Raiders continued their solid play this week, coming back from a 3-1 deficit and beating undefeated West Allegheny 4-3.  Four different Raiders scored goals in this team win.  Ryan Pityk started the scoring off an assist from Captain Alex Restauri.  WA scored the next 3, but SV battled back.  Alex Restauri scored off a pass from Ryan Pityk.  Dante Febbraro added a PP goal off an assist from Connor Patrick.  Spencer Walsh netted the game winner late in the 3rd off a Dante Febbraro assist. The player of the game award went to Dante Febbraro for his outstanding defense.  The Raiders will try to continue the win streak versus PR next week.

SV V1 vs Central Catholic 10/23

Varsity 1 came out on top once again this weekend against Central Catholic, winning 6-3.  Braden White led the way with 2 short handed goals and an assist.  Additional goals were scored by Matt Henderson (2), Tyler Dancisin and Shane Moniot.  Shane Moniot and Zach Broskey also had assists in the contest.  Solid defense as well as consistent goaltending has SV sitting with the lowest goals against (6) in the Varsity 1 division.  Next up for the Raiders is Penn Trafford - Saturday, 10/29 at 5:00pm.  Keys to victory:  Speed and Skill

GAME RECAP:  SV V1 (5) vs Central Catholic (1)

Varsity 1 off to a strong start against a fast and frustrating Central Catholic… winning 5-1.  Tyler Dancisin scored twice.  Braden White, Sean Ristey and Shane Moniot each added goals.  Matt Henderson, Kyle Shank, Luke Bowen and Braden White all had helpers.  Ian Morgan was his normal self turning away shot after shot and making it look easy for the win.  SV V1 takes on NA next Saturday.  Keys to victory:  Took away our competitions space, blocked shots, face offs and goaltending.
