Svitek necklace
Svitek necklace is inspired by the traditional Slovenian product svitek. It is a little cushion in the shape of a donut which was used for carrying heavy load on the head. Most were found from the second half of the 19th century till the middle of the 20th century in the Upper Carniola region.
The base is made out of organic hand felted donuts and covered with hand spun wool yarn which was dyed naturally. All the colors come from different kind of herbs or vegetables. For holding the svitek we used a hemp cord covered in organic beeswax to give it more strenght.
Every svitek necklace is made one of a kind, so you can never get two similar svitek necklaces.
