"You might be a monster but you certainly don't act like one regularly. And the fact that you're terrifyingly pretty helps too."

"Like the spider to the fly" the vampire hums in amusement as he moves over to take a seat. Threading his fingers together in his lap he slowly folds one leg over the other as he watches the male. "My protege, Don, has had some run ins with the enforcers of mortal law, I believe one of them may have had a hand in killing his brother. He of course does not know this, it would be very dangerous for him to find out, however I wish to enact revenge on only that individual..."

Seunghyun froze, looking over at Rene in horror. He was already up against the impossible but adding offspring that would bring along more bloodshed made it much, much worse. "I don't suppose you'd like to help me? Or at least know someone that could help me."

“Unlikely...” the vampire hums, still flicking through the book. “I am, after all, a fellow monster” he half plays up to the part before his eyes slowly lift to the male. “Unless of course, you make it worth my while...”

"It doesn't aid me in feeling better but I appreciate you trying." He bit down harder on his lip, hissing quietly when he tasted blood. The information Rene provided him threw a serious wrench in what he thought would be a clean cut case. This new information, if brought to the attention to the defense attorney, would aid in setting the one responsible free. "I'm far up shit creek without a paddle. What are the chances I'll be able to find this were creature thing?"

Grimacing at the males words and profanity, René lifts his eyes and looks over at him with a scrunched nose, before shaking his head as he glances back down at his book. “Find it? Then what do you intend to do?” He asks and moves over across the room to another section of shelving and scans for a different book.

Seunghyun slid his glasses on, setting his back aside when Rene vocalized his disapproval. "Sorry." He offered the older male a sheepish smile, tucking his legs up under him. "I'll be quiet after this. I promise." He held his hands up as a show of innocence.

The vampire’s eyes linger on the male for a moment, seemingly thinking something over, before he accepts his apology and again lowers his eyes to his work. In fact, he had been wondering to himself if he fancied a snack, but decided against it for now. “What are you working on?” He asks softly, picking up his pin to scribble across a page of his note book in Cyrillic.

"Well, since I'm here and it doesn't look like you're gonna kick me out anytime soon, do you mind if I get some work done. I have three new cases to review." Seunghyun dug his bag out from under his jacket, pulling three densely packed manila envelopes out of it before rooting around for his reading glasses.

Glancing up from his own work, the vampire watches as the man continues to rifle around through his things - seems that peace and quiet he desired is not as close as he had hoped. Tutting softly he returns his attention back to his work, gently shaking his head. As the riffling continues he puts down his pen and again lifts his eyes with a loud tut.

☁ — "Um-" they begin, standing by the desk labeled 'Librarian' with a double stroller stationed in front of them. Both children are sound asleep from the long walk, and Grey figures it would be a good time for them to visit the library. "Where are your books on childhood development?"

"Greek I don't know but Latin is right up my alley." Seunghyun mumbled, focusing on one of the passages that caught his immediate interest. He scanned it, loosing track of the conversation for a moment.

“Hm well..” the vampire’s eye brows raise as he looks back, before pursing his lips and taps his chin as his eyes again move to the books. “Perhaps-” he murmurs to himself and walks to the shelves, plucking a book and opens it on his palm before returning to Seunghyun and places it down, then goes to find another that springs to mind - great story books from Vampire history, not known to mortals.
