01. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Dulce de Leche, Red Velvet Cake, or just plain vanilla over a warm brownie.

02. What is your idea of the perfect first date? Video games and food, honestly. I’m not hard to please. I mean, my first date with my husband ended up being delivery because- actually, let’s not discuss that.

03. How is your bedroom decorated? It’s pretty minimal, just the bed, wardrobe, dressers, two side tables, the usual bedroom furniture.

04. What is your living situation like? I live in a house on the outskirts of Seoul with my husband and two children.

05. What is the first thing you would drink after sitting down at the bar? I don’t drink much, but beer, soju, or just a glass of wine is fine for me.

06. What song would you sing during karaoke night? The same thing I always sing during karaoke night- the entirety of all three High School Musical albums.

07. Do you prefer chocolate or vanilla? I like both, I refuse to choose.

08. Do you prefer TV, books, or neither? Books, but I do watch a lot of TV too.

09. What do you do in their free time? Nap, cook, or watch a movie with my husband. It depends on what time of the day and what day of the week it is.

10. What is your dream career? My current career, of course. Being a patissier.

11. What toppings do you put on their pizza? PINEAPPLE. I will fight ANYONE who tries to knock pineapple pizza. Also pepperoni or bacon. Fuck, now I want pizza.

12. Who is your celebrity crush? Johnny Depp.

13. What trait do you admire most in other humans? I’m not sure... maybe the yolo attitude that’s so popular nowadays.

14. What is you secret talent? It wouldn’t be a secret if I told, would it?

15. What is one thing that you wish you could do? Be more intimidating, appearance wise.

16. What is your biggest dream? It’s already come true, thanks to my husband.

17. Who do you admire most? My husband. And not even because we’re married. Not because I’m in love with him. He’s an upstanding person. He risks his life to make sure others are safe. He’s gone through things in his life that would have most people lost by the wayside but he’s persevered and become the man he is today. I admire that.

18. Who would play you in the movie version of your tale? That Sehun kid from that EXO group. I get told that we look alike a lot.

19. What is your favorite movie? The Princess Bride.

20. Who is your favorite family member? The only family I have are my husband and children, so the obvious choice would be the three of them. Maybe my husband’s uncle, since we consider each other family?

Vartouhi blinked at the other, at first a bit confused as to why the stranger was coming near. As they mentioned her hair, she looked down, allowing it to fall over her shoulders and slightly in front of her face. She still got nervous over others recognizing her from the news from last year, though only one person ever had. Vartouhi disguised the action by leaning forward into a shallow bow. “Ah, thank you.” She carefully lifted back into proper posture, tentatively meeting the other’s gaze. “Yours is lovely, as well. And so long, too.” The princess forgot herself, sighing wistfully. “I remember when mine was that long. People used to tell me it resembled a waterfall of rose petals. But it got damaged and I was forced to cut it.” Running her fingers through the locks, she pouted slightly. “This is as much as I’ve managed to grow back, over the course of a year.”

Grey feels a burst of pride as their own hair is complimented in return, and they pull the long strands over their shoulder, fingers gently running through it. Their hair is one of the things about their appearance that Grey takes extra care of, and within the past year, it’s grown from their mid back to their lower back, the longest strands almost touching their hips. “Thank you- ah, I’m so sorry to hear that. I’d be devastated if I had to cut my hair. It’s something I’m proud of.” They tilt their head, looking over at the other’s hair once again, smile etched into their lips. “Your hair still looks like a cascade of rose petals, even at this length. Mine gets compared to cotton candy and bubblegum more often than not. But anyway, just keep caring for it and getting it trimmed regularly! It’ll grow back in no time.”

Queen, rather than being startled while walking by, actually felt rather touched by the action. She stopped and took a look at the person in front of her and then at the baby, with a wide grin, leaning down to take a closer look at her little face. “Such a cutie. I’m loving the energy! What’s her name?”

Grey couldn’t help grinning at the friendly reaction-a lot of people don’t take so kindly to children, especially lively ones, like the one in Grey’s arms-and they hoist the child up a bit higher, a pleased hum leaving their lips. “This little troublemaker here is Haneul. The one in the stroller,” they cock their head, pulling the stroller a bit closer even though it was already pressed against their knees, “is Jineul. Fraternal twins.”

The smell of freshly baked pastries and goods of all sorts had been more than enough to draw the curious angel inside the shop, though now as he stood at the counter facing the interesting stranger who’d completely outed him in less than five seconds had him wishing he were anywhere else. “I…what?” He’s startled beyond measure and quickly looks around, planting a nervous smile across his cheeks as he drops his voice to a whisper. “Why would you say such a thing?”

“Well, because I can sense it, of course,” Grey replies, simply, shrugging their shoulders. “Don’t worry, just an observation, I don’t mean any harm. I’m not human, either.” Another shrug, although this one with a bit of faux nonchalance- Grey was dying with curiosity about this stranger, but they weren’t going to frighten them with a barrage of questions when they were so clearly taken aback by Grey’s words. “Anyhow, what can I do for you today?”

Hangil chuckled softly as they spoke, bowing his head just a bit he pushed his glasses a bit further up his nose. “Oh no don’t worry about it. Just ducking out of the weather and.. Getting something to share with a friend.” He grinned. Hangil was never one for hiding himself much to the amusement of his few fans. “Anything in particular you suggest?” He smiled brightly at them, looking over the menu.

Grey has the feeling that this person is someone famous- or somewhat famous, but they can’t pinpoint just exactly who he is, in spite of the familiarity of his appearance. They’re pretty sure they’ve seen him on tv or something. “Ah, yeah. It’s cold and rainy today,” they hum, sparing a glance at the shop windows. “Anyway, my best seller has always been the red velvet cupcakes, but I also recommend the tiramisu. It’s my personal favorite. And maybe coffee or tea, to warm up a bit?”

“Excuse me?” Raven whips around to stare at this stranger incredulous. She knew what they were, exactly their kind. One of her friends being of the same blood–actually, half–but that was besides the point. She chose not to acknowledge it because she didn’t care. But, they were practically exposing her by addressing her out loud. “Do you see me call you a faery out loud? No. Now, hush with that. We’re still in public.”

Grey immediately held their hands up defensively, in spite of the fact that there’s an obvious smile spread across their lips. They’d been expecting a slightly hostile reaction, so they weren’t surprised in the least. Every time they sense another supernatural being and confront them, the reaction is always either surprised admission or immediate hostility. “It’s alright, there’s no one here to overhear. I’m just curious, since Seoul seems to be crawling with extra supernatural activity, is all. I’m not trying to get you in trouble.”

“Mm, I’m doing well. A lot of things have changed,” they laugh softly, tucking a strand of their hair behind their ear. “I’m surprised you recognized me.”

{ ♔ — Minsun blinks at the stranger, looking down at her shirt. A chuckle escapes her lips before speaking, ❝No, it’s the style of it.

“Oh- well, that’s interesting then. I’ve never seen a shirt like that before,” Grey hums softly, continuing to inspect the garment from afar.

       Eyes going wide as those words echoed through his ears, “you’re not human, are you…” the other had inquired. The archangel slowly turns to them and smiles slightly, ❝no, no I’m not, how about you ? ❞

“Maybe I am, maybe not,” is Grey’s immediate reply, followed by a short laugh. Beings as themselves used to be few and far between, but they’ve been bumping into them more and more as of late. “I’m joking, of course. I am not. I can’t tell what you are, though.”

One more costumer and Keumjo would be reunited with what she could call her long lost love. Fine, perhaps that was a bit excessive for a red velvet cupcake, but in her defense there were few things that gave her more joy than the color, the texture and the taste of one of those baked goods. It was like nectar in one bite.

With both hands on her jeans pockets, she took a step ahead when the person in front of her left. Much for her dismay, she didn’t hit that person with a lightning bolt (not that she could produce one yet, but what counted was the thought). “Ah…” It was obvious that she was disappointed but the demigoddess saw this as a chance of getting freshly and out of the oven cupcakes. “Alright.” She nodded her head while looking at the empty case, then, up to them.

“I’ll be over there, waiting.” The blonde pointed to an empty seat near the window where the light was good to read. Followed by the bakery’s sweet scent, she made her way towards the chair and sat down before fishing her book out of the bag.

Grey was more than grateful that their customer agreed to be patient, and with a heaved sigh, their pulled the empty tray from the display case. They had the habit of making surplus- several batches of their goods lay in wait in the back room, in case a situation like this came about. They set aside the empty tray the moment they entered the room, the smell of a batch of cookies currently baking bringing a smile to their face.

It didn’t take long for them to return with the full tray of cupcake, easily sliding it into the case and making sure it looked presentable in spite of it’s obvious weight. Once Grey was completely satisfied with it, they leaned out over the counter again, calling out to the customer to get her attention.

“The case has been refilled. How many cupcakes did you want?”

Her first thought had been to drop by the nearest Starbucks to get her caffeine fix before a morning class (8AM, of all times), but that hadn’t worked out too well since it seemed like half the cohort had thought the same too and the queue had been insane. Not wanting to appear for class late (yet again), she drops by one of the quieter bakery that she had passed by numerous times but never stopped to enter– that is, until that day. Hearing the comment from the barista behind the counter as soon as she steps in earns a quick laugh from her. Even they could tell she was exhausted. “I think I’ll pass on the muffin. Give me your strongest cup of coffee though. I might need quite a bit to get me through the day.”

“Strongest? Alright, you got it. A double shot of espresso minus the muffin coming up,” Grey hums, turning toward the espresso machine. It took a moment to start up, since the girl at the counter is technically the first customer of the day. Grey turns to her again once they’ve got the espresso brewing, a smile on their face once again. They take notice of the books she’s carrying, and immediately curious, they ask, “Hey, are you a student? At the university nearby?”

“Hmmm?” Changjo turned around upon hearing the voice, a little surprised. Most people didn’t tend to call out to him– something about the fact that he looked ‘scary’ or whatever. Arching an eyebrow, he looked down at the bundle in the other’s hands. Oh. Well that most certainly shouldn’t have been dropped. He could’ve lost a lot of money because of his carelessness. At least this kid had been nice enough to return it. Taking the package from the other’s grasp, Changjo flashed the female a quick smile. “Uh… Thanks. Just out of curiosity, where’d you find it?”

“Oh, uh-” Grey turned and pointed down to the previous street, “you dropped it right at the curb after you crossed the street. No one else noticed it, so when I got the chance to cross from the other intersection, I grabbed it and came after you.” They shrugged their shoulders, nonchalantly, flashing the stranger a smile. “I didn’t know if you dropped it purposely, so I figured I’d do my good deed for the day and return it. Is it something you need?”

“Deal! But I’m pretty sure you know that I wouldn’t be watching a crap show. Also, since I’m so cool, I will get us popcorn and sweets. How does it sound hm?”

“That’s debatable...” Grey mumbles under their breath. “The deal was sealed at the mention of popcorn and sweets. Two questions, though. Does that also include drinks? And what exactly are we watching?”

☁ — "Um-" they begin, standing by the desk labeled 'Librarian' with a double stroller stationed in front of them. Both children are sound asleep from the long walk, and Grey figures it would be a good time for them to visit the library. "Where are your books on childhood development?"

☁ — Pink hair, almost similar to Grey's own hair, is the first thing that catches their eye when they turn down this particular street. It's a delight to see it, the hair color not very common amongst those who are not idols or models. Grey can't help approching, a grin in place across their lips. "Nice hair! It looks really good."

☁ — There's a look of horror on Grey's face when the child in their arms, Grey's daughter, decides it would be much more fun to swing her rattle at a complete stranger rather than contently shake it and stick it into her mouth. "Oh- I'm so sorry. Haneul gets a bit excited sometimes... unlike her brother," they mumble, looking down at the child still strapped into the double stroller.
