JiSu laid out the open scrolls on her dining table.  Biting her pen she arranged everything in the correct order before lifting her head up as she heard her door open. "That was quick," she said as she looked back to the scrolls, "how much do I owe you for the food?"  She didn't have to ask who it was as she knew it was Jihwan who came back with their food.

Wrapped up in his warm, black jacket, a thick scarf around his nose, Kwang Sun was walking through the busy streets of New York. He had spent a few days here and there through the Unites States, in Los Angeles, Las Vegas for an exceptionally thrilling featuring in Kat Von D’s tattoo parlor — his heart was skipping a beat each time he thought about it —, Chicago, Bâton Rouge and finally New York. The city that never sleeps was his last stop in America before flying back to Korea.

Usually, the trips were really entertaining to him but this time, except when he was working, he could not help but long for Jiseok’s presence with him. He had got used to being wrapped up in his arms at night, feeling his warmth close. He, who always felt so lonely, had found a true friend in Jiseok, who even managed to quiet Seth down most of the time. For the past two weeks, the God had been whispering in his ear, trying to mentally weaken him. And it was working.

Sunny’s phone rang in his pocket. He took it out. A knot tied up in his heart when he read the name on the screen.

Jiseok. That 'ibnaharaam!

The sudden rage of the Old God shook Sunny from inside, making him stumble slightly on the pavement, bringing all focus on him. Someone grabbed him by the arm and asked whether he was okay. “Yeah, I’m okay... Thanks...”

He made his way to the nearest bench and sat on it, breathing in and out deeply for a while. Ever since he was a kid — or more like every since Seth had started talking to him — he had realized he could easily understand Ancient Egyptian. And Seth calling his friend a bastard was not to his liking but it scared him at the same time. He knew the Old God and he never got that mad. Unless he was scared. But why would he be scared of Jiseok?

The phone buzzed again in his hand to remind him about the text. Sunny unlocked it and read his text. His lips stretched into a wide smile. He missed him. Jiseok missed him. What a strange but comforting feeling that was. His fingers almost mechanically typed a reply.

Initially, Kwang Sun had called his dear friend to enjoy with him the delights of renting a suite room in the gorgeous Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas. How pleasant would it have been to enjoy a heated pool, bar lounge, jacuzzi and room service? Clearly not enough for Jiseok to forget that Sunny was here because both the heating system and the plumbing had simultaneously broke down at his flat. Sunny was seated, cross-legged, on the sofa of the suite, trying to reason Jiseok. “I didn’t need a place, come on. This place is Heaven. Come on, you could stay here as well. They have a heated pool, Jiseok!” But no. Sunny almost fell to the floor when the other grabbed him by the arm and followed obediently. His reaction was very sweet, the tattoo artist thought. So much that he gave in easily. “Okay, fine…” A whole week with him. Could he ask for more? he wondered while slowly packing his clothes. He had barely finished unpacking so the opposite process was a lot quicker since nothing had been scattered around. “But do you realize what we’re going to miss?” he asked, halfway laughing already. “The heated pool, though!”

acai berry: what is something you’ve always wanted to try but have been too scared to?

“I always wanted to try free... free climbing, is that the word? But I’m far from athletic and I’m scared of heights so... I guess there’s no way I can ever do it. I’ll just keep looking at people doing it, okay?”

egyptian musk: how do you respond to people flirting with you? do you enjoy it?

“Yeah, I enjoy it when it comes from my boyfriend, but honestly, no one else flirts with me so I don’t have to respond. And it’s for the best so Jiseok doesn’t get jealous every five seconds... But okay, when people flirt with me — rarely —, I just have this extremely stupid laughter and just say ‘huh okay, thanks?’ and try to walk away as quickly as possible.”

passion flower: when you have a crush on someone, how do you show it?

“Mmh, that’s a good question. I really don’t know. I get more physical and clingy, I think. I’m just constantly happy when the person is here and I laugh a lot around them. And with my boyfriend, on whom I have a crush, believe it or not, I just want to be with him and kiss him and share with him all the time. Is that cringy? Yeah, it’s hella cringy but oh well.”

patchouli: if you could only keep five possessions, what would they be?

“Does my tattoo parlor counts as one possession? ‘Cause if yes, it would be this, my phone, laptop, graphic tablet, and bed.”

plum blossom: how do you dance to your favorite song?

“I don’t dance. Ever.”

He was so cute, Alice thought, stalling like he was not to dance while agreeing and trying would have been simpler. “But Wonho-ssi!
