Aww I should have checked my Roll20 messages earlier. My Star Wars game was cancelled. :( Sad, but I played with the same group for well over a year (which is really rare for a random pick up group on Roll20) and we had a ton of fun. It was a great experience and I hope I can find another Star Wars game to play after the kids go back to school.
My first character was Pascia U’Kari, Alliance special forces, slicer extraordinaire with noodle arms who had to have her teammates carry her gear. Who, despite a very low skill in blasters, managed to kill several bad guys. She was the stereotypical computer nerd who was incredibly awkward and would rather sit at her computer than talk to people. One time, we only had half our party so I ended up doing all the talking and it was some of the most hilarious shit.
Hardened General of the planet that is losing to the Empire: “This is war, girl.”
Me: “I KILLED A WHOLE BUNCH OF DUDES.”
After we lost a couple group members, we reset the campaign to play Imperials and I was Aris “Duskdasher” Rae, ace TIE pilot. One of our party members tried to give me shit because I totally towed the racist, fascist Imperial line. You better believe I went hard into this guy--do not tell me how to play my character.. Aris came from humble beginnings, she was from a Corellian slum. Her name was Duskdasher, but she changed it to Rae to have a better chance of getting into the Imperial Academy. She wanted so much to be accepted by her peers, for people not to figure out she was literally trash, she emulated all that terrible Imperial behavior. She got to show her true colors when while we were looking for a rebel spy, we found a burned out farm and a little girl who was the only survivor. (The one where I convinced her we were from the Imperial Department of Helping People and Stuff.) Aris was the one who convinced the party to let the other NPC we had with us take the speeder and take her back to town, even though we had an important mission we needed the other NPC for.
Thanks for the memories, guys!
