I’m on q passionate Thrawn rage resurgence tonight idk why but I keep thinking about how after Ashoka came out there were people who were like “Do you people even LIKE Star Wars??? All you do is complain” abt Thrawn fans who were rightfully and loudly distraught about how he was being adapted and I lose my mind a little. Bc YES we like Star Wars that’s why we’re upset! Bc a beloved character was being adapted HORRIBLY!! Loving media doesn’t mean you have to grovel at the feet of the creators and thank them for every scrap it means you LOVE a MEDIA. And filoni’s Thrawn for me personally like, took out a bunch of the original media that I loved so so much. It was like thinking you were going to see your favorite artist and then a cover band who can’t rlly play and doesn’t have passion for the craft comes out instead. Where was the CARE? Where was the patient explanation? Where was the way he guides those at his side through the scenario so they catch up with where he’s thinking? Where was his crew? His passion for art? His passion for culture? He’s such a vibrant and rich character in his books, absolutely teeming with life and care and then in shows he’s just…. Flat. No gentle smiles and nods of approval at his commanders. No slipping into the background to guide but not overshadow his crew. No mention of the Chiss or Grysk, not even a display of the like 6 languages he knows. Nothing. Just bland.
and star wars, if you'd like!
Send me series and I’ll tell you my:
* Favorite character: General Grievous
* Second favorite character: K-2SO
* Least favorite character: I don’t think I have one.
* The character I’m most like: Luke Skywalker
* Favorite pairing: FinnPoe
* Least favorite pairing: I don’t have one.
* Favorite moment: That one scene in that Clone Wars cartoon that showcased the badassery of General Grievous. He took down like multiple Jedi Knights and Padawans and it made me fall instantly in love with him when I was a wee child.
* Rating out of 10: 10/10
hot take
more star wars: cool more star wars on random couple movie dudes: not cool

Baby Anakin & Obi-Wan: stirring batter desperately trying to make breakfast
Baby Anakin: knocks over flour
Obi-Wan: Ugh, master! Can you please help out, Anakin’s causing a mess!
Qui-Gon, sipping tea: It would be unwise of me to. This is a valuable lesson, padawan.
Obi-Wan: eye twitching, literally about to snap “okay, master”
Look, I love the “Qui-Gon cutting padawan Obi-Wan’s hair into that spiky style because he was whoring around the galaxy”, I have to admit that “Qui-Gon making Obi-Wan’s hair like that because he saw how people were hitting on his padawan and wanted to keep him an innocent babygirl” is good too.
Love how every master padawan duo in the lineage is an adult who really shouldn’t be one and their sassy bitch child
