their relationship started out... a little more than mildly toxic, redd being chaotic evil and almost constantly dragging at least ash into shenanigans- which began rubbing off on ash, enabling and changing him to be more and more evil (eventually, far in the future, that leads into to ash's search for godhood- which... was not a good thing), and when owen joined the party, it effected owen as well. but owen got dragged into less shenanigans, he just had more moral dilemma. eventually though, red began trying to better himself; what sparked it being the realization that now, instead of him dragging ash into situations, ash was dragging him into situations. and then, know, ash's whole path to godhood thing (which was a whole lot of 'sacrifice', and not particularly of other people. if you understand.), plus owen got drafted to fight for his home country (he technically didnt have proper citizenship in the country the three were staying in), and redd had some general personal reflections, too. being sort of forcefully distanced from the two others, redd worked on himself, trying to be a better person- a better partner. shifting from chaotic evil to chaotic neutral-chaotic lawful. after ash gets back from his whole godhood thing, he has a recovery period in which he also works on himself :thumbsup: Owen is more focused on surviving, especially because he... kinda betrays his country at some point, but trust Owen in present day is also working on his issues. they're a mess but they're each other's messes. they are still toxic, and id also say tragic, yaoi though, example being redd making owen effectively immortal (as in, unable to die of old age, still able to die of injury) without owen's knowledge nor permission solely for redd's (and ash's) own benefits and much to owen's confusion and existential dread. redd and ash met while ash was in collage! ash was studying computer programming! originally, redd and ash got together just as a couple- their relationship going from good friends/roommates to the two dating! they invited owen to the relationship during ash's last year at his collage ^^ they originally found owen at local garden looking at bugs (owen has a degree in entomology, study of insects), and they've been (relatively, technically) together since!

THEY ARE MARRIED AS OF PRESENT!! they got married some time after redd and owen found a way to get continually out of and back into the maze and they met back up with ash :33 (during the maze they'd only had long-distance contact with him- imean at one point owen gets to be there in person with him, but its only briefly) :33 they got engaged before redd and owen got sent to the maze, and had the wedding sometime after redd and owen got out!
