There is a raccoon stalking my camp. I saw him when I walked out here earlier as he scattered across the trail and scurried up a tree. I'm pretty sure he is after this sweet potato I'm cooking, but little does he know that it's all mine!!
I am up at the house getting ready to haul some materials to work on my shelter with to the back of the property and I see an entire herd of deer come tearing through the woods! What an awesome start to the afternoon!!
The site I have been working on all week is near completion. I have set the first fire and christened it Swamp Hill. A few more additions to the shelter and I think I will be ready to call this home!
