A swamp siren swam with the lost mermaids to the depths of the ocean floor. She had a September soul that changed and flowed like autumn leaves, I got butterflies because I wasn't jealous of her vibrant colors. Her kisses planted seeds that would grow into logs that would build our home, and her hair was a hummingbirds nest. Every so often if one was lucky, they could catch a glimpse of her during springtime sunbathing with birds flittering around her as fast as my heart. As the moon follows the sun, the roaming sailor follows her home. Home. She is my home, she is turning my world upside down and I swear I can get used to the sea being where the sky used to be.
