Same here. It took most of the hiatus for me to appreciate him- though most of his 'storylines', sadly, are for the extension of the main character's. It's mostly Evil Regals who do that and I don't understand why? He is Regina's child? Your fave...why would you do that. I could blacklist it on tumlbr, but you can't blacklist ff and now I'm just silently fuming.
