i just finished rewatching How I Met Your Mother and i will forever be in denile about the finale so this is how i imagine How I Met Your Mother actually ending
okay so i don't buy for a second Barney would break up with Robin cuz of her job but let's say there is some tension.
barney is upset about no wifi which i don't think he's literally upset about wifi i think he's upset he doesn't really have his own thing and is just kinda following robin around
so they talk it out and robin decides okay from now on i'll only take assignments with garunteed wifi
now barney is able to work on his blog and have his own thing apart from robin and in addition to his blog he starts a side travel blog so hes able to have his own reason for traveling
years later when they're done traveling so much the settle in NY adopt a bunch of dogs and only travel every now and then for vacay
now lily and marshal. i think marshal is the only one who didn't get totally screwed in the finally so good for him
after italy lily goes back to consulting but once she has her third kid she realizes the hours are a lil too erratic for her so she shifts and becomes a museum curator at one of those contemporary museums that always has different exhibitions
once marshall becomes a supreme court justice and their kids are all grown lily quits her job and moved with marshal to DC.
now that she has all this free time she focuses on herself and her art. with all the connections from working in the art world for so long she's really able to blow up as an artist
i think it also shows a nice message that it's never too late for your dreams
Tracy never dies and she and Ted live happily ever after
