SWBB 2023 Story Details

This is for authors to explain what their story is about so artists can be matched up to you! These can be changed until March 2nd.

Authors! This is your story detail form that is due on Saturday March 4th! Due to the fact that the story detail form came out late, the updated schedule is as follows: story details due Saturday, March 4th send out story details for claims (to betas and artists) March 6th beta/artist claims due March 15th pairings sent out March 20th author check-in 2 (~75% done for y'all pacing yourselves by time), last day for author dropouts March 25th

@materassassino​ Author sign-ups close on February 17th, which is also the first check-in, where either a completed outline or minimum word count is required: 5k-10k category: 3k words     10k-20k category: 3k words     20k+ category: 6k words If you asked for a beta reader, the mods are doing weekly matches and emails are being sent out!

This is an 18+ event, though we do require that participants tag their fics appropriately. So dark and explict fic is allowed, but must be correctly tagged as such

@kenobster​ You have until the second of March, when final story details are due, to adjust your story - after that, artist claims go out and you will be locked into the story you’ve chosen.

There is no word limit on the fics, though we do have three tiers 5-10k 10-20k and 20k+ Authors can go over their chosen tier and we frequently have works submitted with multiple chapters!

Over the year, we've reworked the ban policy - authors who dropped out past the deadline may participate as authors, but will have more frequent check-ins to make sure that they're comfortable with their progress. So if you want to sign-up as an author, you can, but if you'd rather sign up as an artist or beta, that is also allowed.

We'll have a post with more information on the revised policy later this week, but overall, only a complete ghosting will result in a total ban the following year
