*Discretely tosses in some colored work doodles of my favorite sweaty chip*
I kind of have this small headcanon that Dipper pulls his hat down so it’s actually sitting on his head (point?) when he’s being praised or bashful. Also, he doesn’t like taking it completely off because he thinks it’s weird not to have his hair or birthmark. Kind of like a security blanket. It reminds him that he is (was?) human.
