“You’re gonna have to be more specific there man. Like do you mean internally or just gettin taller n’stuff? Cos I externally I stopped doing that growing stuff vertically at 13. I didn’t keep track of all the rest.….. Ugh. Fine. Emotionally or maturity or whatever, I mean there’s the ‘tragedy’ of my childhood I don’t really remember. Or maybe the ‘growing pains’ of learning the family trade and what the real world is for those of us in the underbelly.
But y’know the most obnoxious period of growth absolutely hands down, has to be from working with these crazy people. Y’all test my patience 50 million new ways to Sunday an’ back every five minutes. It’s a gift. I’m lying. But really, I’d be a donkey to not be grateful I guess.
It’s made me be more patient, live a little, laugh a little more, maybe make a mess or two instead of just immediately cleaning it up. Have an adventure or two instead of stickin safe in the sidelines in some bubble. Be treated like a person instead of ‘Oh you’re his kid.’ S’humanizing. I like it.
