Person A helps Person B learn a new language. With candy, of course.
ALL RIGHT I’M DOING THIS ONE LAST DRABBLE
"Sweet Lessons," a Sumflower drabble (also please excuse my rather poor memory for Spanish)
Cathy heaved a frustrated sigh, rolling onto her back away from the Spanish textbook. “It’s no use—I’m never going to learn any of this.”
On the floor next to her, Carson was just opening a chocolate bar. Spinning her textbook vocabulary section around to face him, he momentarily forgot about the piece he’d broken off into his hand. “Yes, you will, I’ll quiz you. What’s cara?”
“Um… Wait, I know that one. Um. Car?”
“Boca,” he repeated, giving the chocolate a frown as he noticed it starting to melt. Seized with a sudden idea he leaned over to offer her a little of the bar, meeting her eyes as he said, “Boca.”
Her eyes got wide as her teeth automatically bit into the candy. “M-mouth,” she stuttered when she’d swallowed.
A rather devious smile was starting to curl onto his face as he traced her lips with the melting chocolate. “Labios?”
She sucked in a breath when he leaned in to delicately lick some of the candy away, breathing, “Lengua?”
“That’s… It’s l-language.” When he growled slightly, “Or… wait, um, I think also tongue?” And when he murmured approval, giving her lip a small bite she sighed out, “Dientes?”
All in all, Cathy thought it a very informational study session.
