HAPPY ‘SWEET SIXTY’...!
Leaning in Sixty put a cut daffodil behind Wyatt's ear "There we go, I don't have much space, but I was able to grow this for you"
"F-for me?" Wyatt's brows furrow in confusion, but there's a softness behind them as his finger tips brush against the daffofil in his hair,"Thank you, I'll have to press it so I can keep it."
Odd, he used to press flowers a lot, but just kind of stopped, he didn't even know why. He'd enjoyed it a lot, maybe this was an opportunity to restart.
Wyatt gently brushed his fingertips against Sixty's arm,"What made you choose a daffodil?" He couldn't help but tease, a smirk twisting his lips upward as he recited information he'd forgotten he even knew,"You know daffodil's symbolize selfishness, am I selfish to you?"
Wyatt was only teasing, he didn't expect Sixty to know that information and so he added,"They can also symbolize vitality too though, or new beginnings. " Wyatt didn't put too much stock in flower symbolism however, it was just fun to look into. At least it was before he stopped.
"That's for me to worry about" the RK answered ignoring Wyatt's wallet "I know my place isn't really set up for guests, but I do want you to feel comfortable here"
"But...are you sure?" Wyatt hesitated to put his wallet away, he didn't want Sixty to get the impression he was freeloading either, which could also be avoided if he paid. Wyatt briefly looked around the apartment,"Your place looks fine, your couch is more comfortable than my bed," Wyatt laughed, but there was truth to it.
"Here" Sixty said handing over a small bag to Wyatt "in case you stay overnight" he added. There was a toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb inside it, all still in their packaging.
"Thank you, Sixty,"Wyatt smiled, it was pretty late out, and he really didn't have anywhere to be,"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stay, I did feed Moony before coming over..." She was a good dog, Wyatt knew her well enough to know she'd be just fine until morning,"How much did it cost?" Wyatt took out his wallet to thumb through it. There really wasn't much in there, but he didn't wanna waste Sixty's money like that.
"I've got the show pulled up on my tablet so we can rewind it if we need" he clarified "I think it was muffins, so yeah we'll use the oven"
Willow claps their hands excitedly,"Are we cooking now then?" They immediately steer the pair towards the kitchen in response, not wanting to waste a single moment.
"Do you want to watch a cooking show with me Willow?" Six asked sticking his head into their room "I wanted to learn how to make something new, and you've been wanting to make more food right?" -Solo Six
"Yeah, I'd love to!" Willow immediately drops all the rocks they'd been decorating the room with onto the floor. They'll pick em up later,"What're they cooking? When can we make it? Can I use the oven when we do?" They were already excitedly pulling Six towards the tv.
"My space is always open to you if you ever want to try your hand at it again" he offered "And you could tell me if you like the other flowers I'm growing" he wasn't growing anything terribly impressive, the daffodils in a pot, as well as a little holiday cactus he'd been given after being injured at work (although that was perhaps some of his coworkers hoping that gifting him a potted plant meant he'd be stuck in repairs for far longer than he was)
"I'd have to get the supplies," Though he definitely was considering it. He was feeling a spark he hadn't felt in a very long time. It felt nice, Wyatt genuinely didn't think he'd feel it again, and he was even more surprised that Sixty had sparked it.
"I'd love to see what you've grown though," Wyatt added,"You seem to be good at it. Growing isn't really my strength, but preserving...I can do that just fine." He also admittedly was excited at the prospect of returning to Sixty's house, this time with a valid reason,"I didn't know you liked flowers."
"Let it's beauty fade with time" he answered honestly, Sixty hadn't really considered someone might want to preserve a cut flower he'd given them "But I can't lie, I like that you're selfish enough to keep it"
"I could preserve it in resin, but I don't have the supplies anymore," he had regrettably sold it for drug money years ago. Wyatt hadn't thought he'd need it again.
"I like flowers," giving Sixty a more shy smile he added,"Especially ones that come from you."
