New tattoo, all healed up! (And yes, I did do an elaborate iPhone photoshoot, sorry not sorry). I got this pride weekend and @alannamule at @bellwoodstattoo did a gorgeous job with this and I love it so much~ ✿ For those that don’t know, this is from Aoi Hana/Sweet Blue Flowers (by Takako Shimura) ~! It’s a really cute and really gay manga (there’s an anime too but the manga’s better tbh) that I’ve been in love with for a good few years now. It’s a typical sort of coming of age, yuri-ish manga that’s not typical in the sense that a) it likes to debunk yuri tropes and b) in the sense that I’ve read few things that read as accurately to me what it’s really like to be a high-school aged lesbian. It just has a very real feel to it to me, there’s no other way for me to really explain it. It’s also just beautifully written and drawn even if it’s not something that you personally identify with. And, hey, I may be biased because the main character is similarly awkward and bookish like I was (still am) and there’s TONS of literary references throughout. But it’s a pretty read and hits home in a lot of ways for me and I love it and I love this okay ✿✼:*゚❀:*✼・゚✿❀゚・* ( #aoihana #animetattoo #flowertattoo #watercolortattoo #sweetblueflowers #gaytattoo #tattoo )
