A little note brought by the wind passed in a small gap under Luna's window and entered her room. "Just wanted to check if you're alright. Can't leave the house for a while," it said, Newt's signature right under it. (newts-travels-fast)

Luna, seeing the note, rushed over to quickly collect it. After reading it, she scribbled a response and pushed it through the small gap. She wasn’t sure if it would find Newt in return - but she didn’t know what else to do.

Merlin, where the plot is basically the same but it happens in a future when machines and men are in war. All the sorcerers are half/full ciborgs like in "Ghost in the shell", and the Camelot´s royal Family surname is not Pendragon, but Pendrive. As a half cyborg trying to pass for a human to survive, Merlin thinks Arthur´s surname is hilarious. And guess what? Excalibur - the sword - is literaly a pendrive.

Why does this remind me of In Spite of Everything, the Stars? This fic nearly killed me. I still can’t believe I read it xD holy hell… and why do I want to have a T-Shirt with Merlin’s tattoo?

Our muses being the sole survivors of a shootout.

They lay under the table silently. The cold of the cobbled floor seeped into Verity’s bones through her clothes, skin, muscles. She was pallid as she searched Newt’s hazel eyes. It had been silent for minutes. All they had wanted was a quick dinner – they had been running around all day trying to find Newt’s creatures. After they had finished, all they wanted was dinner. They had been sitting, chatting, when three men came in. The men had suddenly raised their arms, shouted a word she didn’t recognize, and the room erupted into chaos. They both hit the ground instinctually. Screaming had erupted, bodies hit the floor, people were throwing curses at each other, the magic light flashing above them. But now it was silent.

Verity walked through the quad on her way from class. It was dark out, the only light coming from the lamps every couple of feet, so she took the opportunity to walk through what was, during the day, the sunniest place on campus. The quad was usually full of people studying, playing sports, eating, talking. Tonight it was relatively quiet -- a few small groups here and there. She smiled to herself, watching the young mortals go about their business.
