Sweet Forgiveness - Lori Nelson Spielman
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Sweet Forgiveness" is the story of Hannah Farr, talk show host, who seems to have a perfect life and a perfect boyfriend. At least that's what she thinks. Two years ago, her school bully Fiona Knowles sent her "forgiveness stones", that come in a pack of two; one, you should send back to the person you have received it from, showing them that they are forgiven, and one you should send to a person yourself, asking for forgiveness. When Hannah tries to get a new job at a different tv station, for which she has to write a possible episode to show her talent, she thinks nothing by choosing her subject as even those stones for that they are popular at the time, even though she never sent them back herself. In this book you will learn that forgiveness is important, but so is honesty by following Hannah through a self discovery and a journey through her past in order to make the future better. I really liked the theme of the book - asking and granting forgiveness. Even though I normally don't like romance books (even though I keep on buying them) I love when a book makes you think and I like it when the romance is not to much in focus. And the book does not only teach about forgiveness but also about honesty. A lot of the characters telling their secrets and asking for forgiveness have kept them for a very long time and could have been prevented if the people would have been honest with each other. The only problem that I have with this book is that the protagonist keeps on listening to her -excuse the expression - shitty boyfriend who only cares about his reputation to the point where I would have to strangle either him or Hannah- oh, the sweet torture. Hannah is a highly relatable character as she just struggles to keep up with her life and make peace with her mom while she has not much power over the future as much as she would like to. All in all, I enjoyed the book a lot more than I thought and i would suggest it to anyone, actually. One has never really finished learning and maybe there is a person out there that you should grand forgiveness or need forgiveness from. The book has 355 pages and you can buy it for 13 - 16$ on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0147516765/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1452281634&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=sweet+forgiveness&dpPl=1&dpID=51QGepxsMnL&ref=plSrch Or for 13 - 15€ at book depository: http://www.bookdepository.com/Sweet-Forgiveness-Lori-Nelson-Spielman/9780147516763
