Five years later....
Natalie: Oh my god, I can't believe moms out on a date so soon already, I hate her! Riley: Nat, don't say that! Natalie: I do, how can she already be out on a date? It's only been like 6 months! Riley: I know but don't say that in front of Jayson! Natalie looked at her little brother and realized she had to calm down. Natalie: I'm sorry.... Lil' J I didn't mean to say that in front of you... You know, I'm just so angry about this whole situation... Jayson: That's OK.... I'm not angry but... I feel sad about this too... Natalie: Me too... I just wish daddy was here and that everything was back to normal... You know? Jayson nodded and took his big sisters hand. Riley: I miss dad too.... I just wish everything would go back to normal... But we can be mean to mom just because she's on a date, OK? I don't like the whole idea either but.... She might have to move on sometime....
Addison: I just feel like life is perfect right now! Jay: Me too.... Everything is perfect!
A year had passed since baby Jayson arrived in the house, and oddly enough everything had gone exceptionally well. Riley: I thought the house would be chaos with another baby, but it's actually really nice... I like having one of each. Addison: One of each? Riley: Yeah, one sister and one brother. Addison: It has really been a smooth transition actually... Right, Jay? Jay: Yeah, I was also sort of scared that another baby so soon would be too much, but it's been surprisingly easy actually.
Every Saturday morning is pancake day in the Sweets home. Addison gets up before everyone else, makes pancakes and then the family gathers by the table to eat, laugh and talk about the passing week. It's her way of doing something special with the family to make up for not always being able to eat dinner with them.
